MMA Insurance plc is a general UK insurer offering a range of insurance
products exclusively through a national network of over 3,000 Brokers. Several years
ago, Discover IT developed a private extranet for the MMA brokers called "Broker
Online Services" (BOS).
BOS provided the brokers with instant online quotations and printed copies of both
the quotation and the completed proposal ready for their customers to sign. MMA
has now launched their new Broker Online Version 2, developed with Discover IT,
which provides full cycle functionality.
Quotations and binding of cover are fulfilled instantly. Brokers can also renew
cover, access policy details and make common adjustments without referral to MMA.
Prices and acceptance can be accessed instantly and renewals can be identified online
and policies renewed immediately. In addition, with a unique
Documents Generation and Management System, developed by Discover IT, brokers
have access to all the full policy documentation at point of sale.

The Fyfe Group, owned by Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA), are one
of the largest specialist motor trade insurance brokers in the UK. Discover
IT have developed several web-based insurance applications for Fyfe Group. Most
notably the innovative Fyfe Group Operating System (FGOS), a full-cycle, multi-provider
insurance management system.
FGOS utilises business rules software, InRule, to automate various aspects of comparative
insurance quotations, policy issue, mid-term adjustments, renewal, cancellation

Generation and Management System for all the policy documentation.

a full-cycle monthly motor trade insurance system for motor traders, was also developed
by Discover IT for Fyfe Group. It provides insurance quotations, issues monthly
policies, handles mid-term adjustments, renewals and cancellations, automates the
monthly payments and issues all the relevant documentation.

a web site owned and operated by Temporary Cover Ltd, was
developed by Discover IT. It allows Agents and end user customers to obtain short-term cover policies for private cars
and commercial vehicles. It is quick and easy to apply and
buy online, and, cover can be immediately available.
Payment is taken online and the policy documents are available as soon as the transaction is completed.
In 2006, this web site was the winner of the UK Broker Awards in the category 'Most Effective Use of E-Business'.
