There are four options for hosting your Site:

• most cost effectively, on a shared Web server of an Internet Service Provider (ISP) - the ISP may be Discover IT or a third party. See our Unix and Windows shared hosting plans.
• on a Virtual Private Server - the ISP would be Discover IT in association with NTT/Verio
• on your own dedicated Web server located on the ISP premises and connected directly to the ISP's network
• on your own premises and connected to the ISP's network via a leased line.

Discover IT's Website Hosting Plans

Discover IT offers 4 Unix Web hosting plans, 4 Windows 2003 Web hosting plans and 2 Virtual Private Server plans which offer exceptional performance, reliability and value for money.

We can also provide Custom hosting for your Web applications. If you have any special hosting requirements, please contact us for a quotation.

If you plan to include an eCommerce application on your Site or plan to install an Extranet, we can also obtain an authenticated Digital Certificate for your Web Site. We use Verisign or Thawte as our trusted Certificate Signing Authority.

Our Unix and Windows 2K hosting is provided on servers that are attached to an Ethernet network that connects to the Internet via 3 fibre optic links at 3 independent connection points (MCI, Sprint and UUnet).

These links provide a combined connection bandwidth of 135Mbps. Data and systems backup is provided by a Storage Technologies robotic tape backup system. All servers and communications equipment are supported by UPS battery backup and a backup generator is also available.
