Spotted Eagle Owl

(Bubo Africanus)

Origin: Savannah regions of Africa and eastern areas of the Middle East.
Habitat: Mostly wooded and rocky areas.
Nesting:
Facts: This owl is one of the smaller eagle owls. Its colour varies from the more common grey to a rarer buff colour. It feeds mainly on insects, but also on small birds and rodents.

These bird come under threat from the wide use of pesticides in Africa.
