The Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre is located within the magnificent forest and lakeside surroundings of Kielder Water at Leaplish Waterside Park, Northumbria in the North of England not far from the border with Scotland.

Kielder Water is the largest man-made lake in Europe with an area of more than 4 square miles and a perimeter of 27 miles. It lies adjacent to Kielder Forest, 152 square miles of spruce, larch and Scots Pine, providing shelter for a myriad of wildlife - badgers, foxes, otters, deer and red squirrels.

There are camping and picnic sites for visitors and a host of leisure facilities - cycling, guided walks, fishing, water sports and ferry cruises.

Kielder is easily accesssible from the A69 (Newcastle upon Tyne to Carlisle) road:

Turn northwards onto the A6079 to Chollerford.
Take the B6320 to Bellingham.
Take the C200 to Kielder.

Alternatively, from the A68 (Darlington to Edinburgh) road:

Take the B6320 and follow the tourism signs to Kielder Water and Forest.
