(Falco jugger)

Female Lugger Falcon
Origin: Indian sub-continent..
Habitat: Open countryside and plains.
Nesting:
Facts: Also known as Lugger Falcons.

Lagger Falcons are the Indian Cousins of the Lanner Falcon. They are similar in size and appearance, but do not perform as well as the Lanner. They are lazy birds and it is difficult to persuade them to take quarry. However, they are suitable for inexperienced falconers who need to learn the art of live swinging.

They prey on insects, birds and small mammals, mainly taken on the wing.
