Male Common buzzards are capable of taking medium sized rabbits and occasionally small birds. They feed on rabbits and other small mammals, as well as birds and reptiles.

The Common buzzard is what falconers describe as a beginners bird basically because of its size. If you would like to take up falconry, you can learn about the most suitable birds for you at one of our falconry courses.
